Courtyard: Temperate Forests

Courtyard: Temperate Forests

Temperate forests are one of three types of forest biomes (temperate, tropical, and boreal). The temperate forest biome is found in regions with moderate climates and distinct seasons, including cold winters and warm summers, with precipitation throughout the year. The fertile soil in temperate forests supports trees like maple, oak and birch, as well as a variety of wildlife, including deer, squirrels, bears and birds. Learn about these rich ecosystems with this collection.
